For the next five days, 10% of all Canada sales will be donated to @truenorthaid to support Indigenous communities affected by the Canadian wildfires. Indigenous Peoples make up roughly 5% of Canada’s population, yet account for nearly half of all wildfire evacuation events. Much of this comes down to geography. Many First Nations communities are located in remote, forested regions where wildfires are more common and emergency response can be more challenging. For families, evacuation often means leaving behind not only their homes, but also their communities, traditional lands, and sources of food—sometimes for weeks or months, and sometimes more than once.
