Babywear ā a good carrier is seriously my top must-have product for a soon-to-be mom of two. Keeps you hands free for your toddler, helps baby to nap on the go. @sollybaby was our favorite and comfiest for the newborn days and for a structured carrier, we love @wildbird aerial carrier! I truly believe just popping my daughter in the carrier and taking her with us wherever is part of whatās made her such a go-with-the-flow baby. 2. Prioritize toddler over baby *when you can* ā not all cries are urgent. If both need me and the babyās needs are not urgent, I let my toddler see me choose to help him first AND hear me voice that to his sister with a āwait one second (baby), Iām helping (toddler) right now.ā I also tried my best to never āblame the babyā or say I couldnāt do something with him because of her. 3. Get out of the house ā even if itās just a walk around the block, a drive-thru for coffee or to grab a target pick-up. It was good for all 3 of our mental health. The more we did it, the easier it got and I now feel so confident to go just about anywhere with them on my own. 4. Hype up their relationship ā from day one, Iād let my toddler overhear me telling his sister what a great big brother she had or when she lights up when she sees him, I make sure to point it out and tell him she loves him so much. 19 months later, I have two siblings who straight up ADORE each other, so Iād say itās working. 5. Itās okay to depend on screen-time ā I reminded myself that this is not the time to beat myself up for the tv being on more than usual. Itās a short season, youāll figure out your rhythmsā¦ and until then, itās more than okay for screens to be a tool in your toolbox.
