It could be because you have too much environmental buildup and you just need a different tool. Gray hair is basically pigment-free which means it absorbs whatever is around it...water minerals, metals, pollution, product residue...even copper from plumbing which, according to my bomb ass hair dresser Jenn Jones @creature.atl , there is a lot of in Atlanta! Over time that buildup sits on the hair shaft and turns gray hair from bright to dull to yellow to sometimes even greenish 🤢 This is why purple shampoo alone isn’t enough for some people. It’s great at toning but if buildup is sitting on your hair it can only do so much. Luckily there is a shampoo that is excellent at removing buildup on gray hair.
