This hotel is just as gorgeous as it looks. It’s 101 years old and filled with so much charm! We received the best service our entire stay and can’t wait to go back! ✨ We made our Valentines dinner reservations at @coralgreenville and loved this restaurant so much! The service was incredible. Along with the phenomenal menu! If you live in Greenville and haven’t tried this spot definetly add it to your list! ✨ We had breakfast at a restaurant offered by The Westin called Spoonbread - the atmosphere was so bright and beautiful! It caught my eye right away. We loved our food as well! ✨Before checking out we ran into the bookstore next to our hotel, @mjudsonbooks to get a souvenir for our son and a gift for my mom for watching him! I shook my head, smiled and walked away. I once had a bestfriend who talked bad about me, and never knew that I found out.... I never mentioned it. I just smiled and walked away from that friendship. I had a couple family members who chose to shift me out of their life because I stood up for myself for a change. And because I stopped crossing oceans for them when they would not even jump over a puddle for me. I smiled, shook my head and walked away. I was in a relationship once where I was always put last no matter what I did for them and I realized at that very moment .... someones effort is their direct reflection of their interest in you. So, I walked away and never looked back. Someone asked me how I could just walk away from people that betrayed me while pretending to be my significant other, friends or family. I said that every time I came to a crossroad like that, I had to decide who will be going forward on my journey with me. This showed me who I cannot take along with me. You should never get mad at a person who betrays you, even in the name of friendship or family. Just gracefully bow out and enjoy your journey and remember ... the moment you start to wonder if you deserve better. He was kind and always gave the shirt off his back in any situation, regardless of the circumstances. He demanded respect even if he was sitting in silence, but not in a way that was arrogant. In a way that you could tell he was confident about his own being. He lived a life for his family, and did whatever it took to keep both us and the farm running. He was tough as nails, and meaner than a rusty one when he had to be. He loved his people hard, and it always showed. This may be one of the only photos of him open mouth smiling. He had a quiet giggle that everyone who knew him has memorized, and a voice that when he yelled was something primal and scary. If you had ever heard either, you know what I mean. I learned so much from him about pride, arrogance, hurt, sacrifice, and most of all love. He was one of my greatest teachers, biggest hero’s and literally the strongest man I had ever met next to Rick Byard. A lot of these things also apply to Rick. My Dad, Rick and James Vance have been on my mind & heart pretty heavy this week. 3 of the greatest men I’ve even known, and one hell of a trio to have as guardian angels. 🥹 I can rest a little easier knowing that Rick’s Memorial Ride just happens to fall on my Dad’s Birthday. That was all the sign that I needed to know in my heart that he is doing alright up there alongside my Dad and James. This world is never going to be the same without any of them in it. Days like today I can breathe a little easier knowing that even if we can’t have them down here with us, at least they all have one another. This was our second family visit to @universalorlando and there’s not many places we’ve been where I’ve seen my kids experience this type of joy.
