My goal for this year is to lean into God and embrace who Jesus created me to beâflaws and all. Sounds easy but itâs taken me a lifetime and I hope, sweet friends, that youâll do the same. The good Lord & 2025 gave me more and more reasons to look up from my phone. While this place & this space on IG has been such a gift (especially the sweet friendships), I have also found that spending too much time here can be a time stealer of the life and people right in front of me. All of the projects are done in this home and in this season life. Iâm not in retail stores enough to share dupes simply because I just donât need more âstuffâ which knocks out most of the DIYs too and the thrifting trips are getting few and farther between. I hope that youâll cheer me on from a distance and show me a little grace as I live this crazy, beautiful life with the people I love most. You might just see me pop up on stories or share a reel from time to time with what weâve been up to and life updates. Weâve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and the birth of our first grandson within these past 365 days. But Iâve also gotten to watch my daughter become a mother and a great one at that! Iâve been alongside my husband as we cared for his dad after losing his wife and very best friend of over 57 years as we navigated the loss of it lsing my MIL and my aging parents. And we also watched as my son begins to make preparations for building his almost forever home. Itâs been a crazy, wonderful, beautiful, hard, challenging, emotional year and Iâm so grateful for every moment. So as we place the first day and all the days to follow of this new year in Godâs hands, we trust God to guide us through it all, and pray that He director steps along the way. As another year begins in this little corner of our world on instagram called @grace_and_goodies , I know 2025 looked a little different. We spent most of this year making our nest a little nester by finishing up the last of the projects we plan on doing in this home (good Lord willingð!) For 2026 we hope to be surrounded by our people, snuggling the sweetest baby boy (and of course Linen too), continuing to read through the Bible (even though itâs taken me more than a year),still visiting the thrift stores, spending more time at the Beach House, traveling, getting our steps in, visiting the places that inspire us (especially when they include coffee), all while remaining in my nesting granny faze.
