My husband recently found @_jackperez_ and immediately sent me several of his high protein recipes to try. This first one was a cheesy taco bake and it was delicious. This one requires some initial prep and then the addition of the rest of the ingredients towards the end of the cooking time so it’s a great meal prep option for the week on a Sunday. Since I work from home, I was able to prep this one during my lunch break. The flavor in this one was so good and very filling. Plus my two high protein eaters loved it. We have a few more on our list so I’ll share any other winners. Do you still use your crockpot in the Summer? Mine works year round! May has been a month full of family time and there is nothing that brings me more joy. After almost two years of not seeing my dad, he is in town for the long weekend and we are soaking up every minute. Took him down to the beach yesterday for some lunch and a trip down memory lane. Friday was a girls night to finally see The Devil Wears Prada 2. Such a cute movie with my two sweet girls 💕 We kicked off the week last Sunday celebrating our Poppi’s birthday and reuniting with the college kids home. We didn’t just have a once-in-a-lifetime wish granted to celebrate an era of sadness, but also a special family united by the extremes of sadness and happiness brought forth by a sick child. This weekend our “family” celebrated with Butterfly and Boots for an amazing evening that also helped to continue to make this special family available for others. There were smiles, tears and memories made only through the generosity of others - many people we will never meet. While having a child with a CHD wasn’t in the plan, we’re lucky to have people who care enough to make his dreams and others like his possible.
