Prior to having my first, I was totally fine with having to use formula - then I suddenly wasn’t and it made me miss out on a lot of the newborn bliss. This time I am making sure my baby is fed without the guilt. This took a lot of mental prep prior to her birth. 2. Knowing my needs matter too -I deserve to feel good and I now know you can’t pour from an empty cup. I plan to take time for myself for self care appointments and to move my body to help myself become stronger & a better mom 3. knowing I don’t have to do it all: I always felt I had to be “on” when I had my first. House clean, laundry all done, in shape, etc etc. this time I am living in the moment, and knowing everything is a season in these early days. Fun fact, I met Kyle before I ever met Dean! Workouts with Ruby at @lifetime.lenexaks quickly becoming my favorite! 🥹 she’s now 12 which allows her to workout with me!! We took GTX with @kacilreed & mat Fusion with @kelsiebrownfitness 💪🏼🫶🏻 Our church, @lifechurchlenexa kicked off summer with the fantastic fire truck, food trucks & inflatable bounce houses after service! My sister & I met up with the kiddos for an afternoon of rock climbing at @rokcolathe ! Love that they get all this cousin time now that we are back in KC!!! The kids and I have been studying faith & history so they understand why we celebrate on July 4th… I want my kids to grow up with a deep appreciation for our Country!! They are enjoying it much more than I ever imagined… they keep asking to learn more!! We got our yearly caterpillar kit & will be watching them as they turn into butterflies!
