My name is Megan, and I am the face behind @ashonivy. I started this account a few years ago after my fiancé and I bought our first home together. We worked on a lot of projects to turn that house into what we thought would be our forever home. A few years later, we weren’t really even looking at houses, and we stumbled upon the most beautiful fixer upper on the land we had been wanting in our dream location. My sweet Olivia Mae went in for surgery the day after her seventh birthday to have some skin tumors removed. They also found a rather large tumor in her back leg muscle, a tumor on her spleen and innumerable tumors in both her kidneys. Unfortunately our sweet girl was diagnosed with a very aggressive histiocytic sarcoma. We were told we probably only have weeks left with her. It’s so hard to believe since she is still our happy, smiley girl full of tail wags and butt wiggles. She has no idea how sick she is. And my hope is that she doesn’t ever know until the end. I want her to stay her smiley self as long as we have her. Livvybug has been by my side through some very tough and lonely times. After my divorce when I moved out on my own for the first time, she was my little buddy. Always by my side. My shadow. I always tell her that she is my very best friend. Now I’m losing her.
