2026-06-18 20:03 Video 2026-05-23 13:08:27 If I’m being totally honest…the thought of putting this out into the world is really really terrifying because sharing your deepest, darkest, rawest thoughts is really uncomfortable. And I have always struggled with not wanting to feel like a burden or a disappointment, so knowing people I know are going to see this is like my worst nightmare 🫠 BUT I’m also sharing it mostly as a reminder for myself that I do not want to allow myself to stay in this headspace. Chronic illness has literally taken so much joy from my life and I’m tired of allowing it to control my emotions. I also know I’m not the only person who has felt or currently feels this way and honestly?? Sometimes just knowing you’re not alone is one of the greatest gifts you can be given. I’ve been in a really rough headspace for a while now - struggling with very low self esteem, a lot of internal questions about why I struggle so much with certain things, and so on. Honestly, thank God for my husband because he is the most patient and understanding human. I still wonder - is it PMDD? Is there a link between that & endo? Is there something more going on? Is it as simple as something in my diet? The thoughts so easily can take over and after so many years of advocating for myself, I’m honestly just so mentally tired 😣 I don’t really know where to go from here or what my next steps should be, but what do know is that I am so determined to get out of this dark mental space and feel like myself again. I want to feel joy in life and not so weighed down by everything. So if you’re in a similar place too - please know you’re not alone. Starting with squats in releve, adding some rotation with the arm swings, and obviously pulsing it out for some extra burn šŸ”„ Moving into the plank in/puts, adding the single leg version adds extra challenge and use of the legs that is super spicy. Round it out with the side planks, with the option to put the cherry on top with the knee to elbow sequence. I promise your class will be like 🫣 lol Before going to the other side for the side planks, flush it out with a few more regular plank in/outs between, or add some pike ups, or push ups…whatever feels right for your class! 2026-06-18 20:03 Video 2026-06-12 12:30:13 Recovering from from laparoscopic surgery is no joke šŸ˜… As someone who has had 3 of them for hernia repair, endometriosis excision & hysterectomy, these are the gentle stretches that have helped me most once I was able to be a bit more mobile. Diaphragmatic breathing is SO important - in general but esp after these kinds of surgeries. Big inhale through nose to fill the belly with air 360 degrees - think of it like filling a balloon. Exhale through the mouth as you try to zip up beginning at the pelvic floor, finishing with knitting the ribs ā€œtogetherā€ - wrapping like a corset. We’re not bracing here! Don’t force it. It may take a while to get the breath down - I know for me I always have a big disconnect between my pelvic floor, deep abdominal muscles and brain after these surgeries so have patience with yourself. For the pelvic clock, keep your hands on your hips to help guide as you create the circle, I just used my hands to show the direction my hips were moving in. Shoulder blades stay planted while doing pelvic clock! I also forgot the film cat/cow, but that is another one I make sure to do to get gentle movement back into the spine. It is such a great way to help the class lock in and get ready for what’s next šŸ˜ I love this pre-warmup because it is challenging, requires coordination and really getting the use of the breath in check. Starting with the squats, keep the ball between the knees squeezing into it a bit as you stand upright. Obviously, we’re gonna pulse here in the low squat!! Then add a releve as you stand, holding the releve after a few reps continuing to squat while in this position (if possible). After a few more reps, hold the releve squat down, pulsing into the ball - this is a real scorcher! Moving to lie onto the carriage sideways, begin with legs in tabletop and head/neck/shoulders lifted. Ball goes between the knees as you perform double toe taps being sure to keep the back from arching or belly from pooching. Next, hold the ball against the left knee with the right palm creating a sort of diagonal. Lower the opposite arm and leg that do not have the ball (sort of like a twisted dead bug). Perform on both sides. After this you will be sweaty & ready to rock for class! Recovery is one of those slow and steady wins the race kinda things, so we’re working on patience as well šŸ™ƒ As always, I don’t always do these in one session - this is just the majority of what I’ve been doing this week! - starting with 15ish min of walking. Sometimes I do a little more or sometimes a little less depending. Have been living warning up this way though as I struggle to get steps in during the day & this helps! - breathing in supine (prioritizing deep diaphragmatic breath), pelvic tilts & pelvic clock - supine marching & single leg push (exhale & engage core while lifting the leg/pressing on the thigh) - glute bridge & knee falls - all 4s breathing - low to high kneel w/ball squeeze (exhale as you press into the ball) - reverse lunge (go slowly with these) - spine stretch forward, spine twist, saw, lateral lean - single leg extend/hover (exhale as the leg goes out, inhale on the way in) - mini squat - weighted side lying thread the needle (weight optional, I used 2 lbs. keep strong + lifted through the bottom oblique) - side lying leg extension & clamshell - adductor ball squeeze (exhale on the squeeze) - foam roller chest stretch & lat stretch - rest pose & thread the needle stretch - pushups + goal post arm raise against wall (esp, with pushups starting against the all is a great way to get the movement without the extra pressure on the core) - 15ish min cooldown walk šŸ˜Ž Each week slowly gets more & more doable - I hope you are feeling that way as well! #pilates #hysterectomy #hysterectomyrecovery #endometriosis #endowarrior workoutideas surgeryrecovery - #pilates, #hysterectomy, #hysterectomyrecovery, #endometriosis, #endowarrior 52 homesweetpilates - Open Link

2026-06-18 20:03 Video 2026-06-01 12:30:15 The way my lower back hurt SO badly after filming this šŸ˜… Lunging is an exercise that’s very very easy to make mistakes in as there are a lot of moving parts! There are probably so many more than what I did here - I just did what I could think of off the top of my head! One of the biggest keys when it comes to lunges is to keep the weight in the front heel and not allow the knee to stray too far forward or back. Keep the core engaged so your back doesn’t arch and the chest stays proud, even if hinging. I did variations here of both back knee on & off as there are different types of lunges on the reformer so I wanted to touch on both! After not being able to workout in really any way post hysterectomy, I really wanted to feel cute and good in my body for when I got cleared. Tbh, this shopping trip ended up being a little more mentally challenging than I expected, and I found myself reallyyyyy not loving the super tight and fitted things and liking the looser outfits. (With the exception of the hot pink set because how FUN is that color 🤩) If I’m honest I’ve been feeling v self conscious with my tummy + leg cellulite but here we are 😬 Also, can we petition to make it a law that dressing rooms have to have flattering lighting because these harsh lights are totally not the vibe 🫠 Ok I gotta know - do you like any of these? 2026-06-18 20:03 Video 2026-05-27 12:40:11 7 weeks post hysterectomy & here’s what I’m doing to get back into working out as a Pilates instructor šŸ’šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø Please know this is not an exhaustive list and you do not have to do all in one session. This is just a mix of the majority of what I’m doing this week. You’ll see some similar exercises to last week - that is intentional! It may feel boring, but repeating exercises until they are mastered is important before moving on to more challenging things. - 15 min walk warmup - breathing in supine followed by pelvic tilts, bridging & heel slides - breathing in all 4s followed by cat/cow, tail wag & thread the needle - seated marching & sit to stands with a bench or chair - side lying ball squeeze (press down on ball on the exhale) & lateral leg lifts - figure 4 stretch, staggered knee falls, knees to chest, stir the pot (one of my faves!!) - kneeling lunge, spine stretch forward, butterfly, single leg version - seated side stretch & rest pose - then finished with a 15 min cooldown walk ā˜ŗļø You’ll notice I’m still prioritizing a lot of mobility work, breathing & deep core. I may be cleared for exercise, but 7 weeks is still fresh after such a big procedure so it’s super important to keep that in mind and remember internal healing is still happening. 2026-06-18 20:03 Video 2026-05-25 12:30:12 I shared this series last year but I have to share it again because it genuinely is one of THE most difficult series I have ever done 🄵 It may not look like it, but having the ball under the knee is SO INSANE for challenging your stabilization. I was shaking like craaaazy the entire time. Make sure your ball is a bit deflated or else it will be even more difficult. *a little hack for modifying here - you can place the foot of the knee on the ball up against the side of the shoulder block for a little extra help or for even more support rest the toes of the leg on the ball down - otherwise keep everything lifted for the most challenge! šŸ˜ Especially when doing the opposite arm/leg reach, if needed to keep the leg down you can just reach the arm overhead. Trust me when I say balance is soooo difficult in this one!! Finish with a total burnout of the side plank to diagonal pike up - RIP to your obliques 😬 I would definitely categorize this series as advanced and when you try it you will see why pretty quickly lol BUT it is so fun and sooo good for a total body challenge On one spring, I did 1 light (blue) but feel free to add an extra while in the all 4s if needed for extra support so the carriage is a little more secure (having to keep the carriage still is a challenge in itself!)
