During the peak of Covid in 2020 I came across an Instagram ad for a super cute bikini but it was shown on a busty model. I immediately felt doubt that the design would fit and flatter my much smaller chest so I went to Google “bikinis for small chests” thinking surely there’s a brand out there that caters specifically to smaller chests. I’ve seen brands catered to larger chests so why not the other end of the spectrum? To my surprise, despite a highly globalised world we now live in, there was not ONE single swimwear brand that catered specifically to smaller chests. My searches only found generic brands recommending some of their designs for small chests, or magazine brands recommending certain generic brands based on certain designs they had. And that is how the idea for LOU was born. LOU was created to empower women with small boobs to look and feel sexy in their own body. Society fails to portray small boobs as ‘sexy’ and LOU is out here to change that. I wanted to solely use small chested models in all our photoshoots so you can see your own body in all our designs. And that includes trying to find small chested models of different ages, skin tones and shapes. Thank you for being here with us through all the ups, downs, and everything in between. Here’s a little look back: 1 - one of our IG Lives in 2021 Louise started with a clear vision, and everything else around it was raw. She was still figuring things out, and she just showed up anyway. And you showed up with her in support, which we are eternally grateful for. 2 - when our first collection didn’t go as planned The bottoms were not the same as the sample but Louise chose to be honest and transparent (like our bottoms 😂) and you supported us through it all, giving us ideas to gift them away so there wasn’t any waste. Some customers chose to dye them, some even loved that it was a tad transparent. 3 - BTS from our very first shoot: Retro Summer We started with a tiny budget and the hotel, photographer and models all supported us to bring our vision to life. This will forever be the most special photoshoot that brought LOU to life. To this day, the TORI and FIO styles are still our best sellers, expanding into so many colours. 4 - First Ever In-Person Event We recently launched our IBTC by LOU Ambassador Program and had our very first in-person yoga event, in celebration of the launch of LOU Fit. It was such a special moment finally meeting some of you in real life. The first ever swimwear brand to cater specifically to small chests! We’ve been proudly designing bikinis for the IBTC since 2021. During the peak of Covid in 2020 I came across an Instagram ad for a super cute bikini but it was shown on a busty model. I immediately felt doubt that the design would fit and flatter my much smaller chest so I went to Google “bikinis for small chests” thinking surely there’s a brand out there that caters specifically to smaller chests. I’ve seen brands catered to larger chests so why not the other end of the spectrum? To my surprise, despite a highly globalised world we now live in, there was not ONE single swimwear brand that catered specifically to smaller chests. My searches only found generic brands recommending some of their designs for small chests, or magazine brands recommending certain generic brands based on certain designs they had. And that is how the idea for LOU was born. LOU was created to empower women with small boobs to look and feel sexy in their own body. Society fails to portray small boobs as ‘sexy’ and LOU is out here to change that. I wanted to solely use small chested models in all our photoshoots so you can see your own body in all our designs. And that includes trying to find small chested models of different ages, skin tones and shapes. LOU is the acronym for 'Love Ourselves Unconditionally' as that is our ultimate mission, to spread self-love. I want to thank you for your incredible support over the years! Memory Trip Down the Lane 💭 LOU is 5 years old, and we honestly can’t believe it! Thank you for being here with us through all the ups, downs, and everything in between. Here’s a little look back: 1 - one of our IG Lives in 2021 Louise started with a clear vision, and everything else around it was raw. She was still figuring things out, and she just showed up anyway. And you showed up with her in support, which we are eternally grateful for. 2 - when our first collection didn’t go as planned The bottoms were not the same as the sample but Louise chose to be honest and transparent (like our bottoms 😂) and you supported us through it all, giving us ideas to gift them away so there wasn’t any waste. This will forever be the most special photoshoot that brought LOU to life. To this day, the TORI and FIO styles are still our best sellers, expanding into so many colours. 4 - First Ever In-Person Event We recently launched our IBTC by LOU Ambassador Program and had our very first in-person yoga event, in celebration of the launch of LOU Fit. It was such a special moment finally meeting some of you in real life. Our community has continued to grow since then, and we’re excited to create even more opportunities to connect, celebrate, and spend time together in person in the years to come. 💛 Truly, it’s been a real journey and we’re just grateful to still be here doing this with you.
