I received sooooo many questions about our most recent project where we painted our house so I’m sharing more about the process so you can save it all in one place 📌 keep reading for some extra details that may be helpful.. • the brick is painted Shoji White by @sherwinwilliams - it’s the perfect warm white that feels warm without looking yellow but still remains neutral without pulling blue or grey.. when tested beside other popular warm whites this was a clear winner for us because it didn’t feel like a stark white either - test the colours on all sides of your home. • we currently only painted 3 sides of our home since the front of our home is a different finish, however, we will be using this same process next year to do the front. Since the second story of our home is siding, we only painted a single story and each side took approximately ONE paint pale to complete the three coats. For our house specifically, we required three paint pales for this project, keep this in mind when budgeting for paint. • for the deck and fencing we used the Woodluxe solid stain from @benjaminmoore colour matched to their Cafe Doppio. We opted for the darker, solid stain because our wood was in rough shape and this did best and concealing it for now until we’re ready to replace it. I love the contrast between the rich warm brown and the creamy white on the brick, it feels classic and not trendy. • we used the @vevor.official airless paint sprayer for both projects and plan to continue using it for our indoor renovation as well - great quality for price point. • it is very important that you are using the appropriate paint for your specific home - @behrcanada offers a wonderful cost effective option for masonry, stucco and brick. The @sherwinwilliams Emerald is also a fantastic, high quality option at a higher price point.
